Sharon Shaffer has been a professional singer, actor, and voice teacher for over 35 years. She has had a prolific performance career and has appeared in leading operatic, musical theatre roles, and in recital, throughout the United States, Europe, and Scandinavia. Some of her favorite recent roles are: The Ghost of Entrances Missed in Haunted with Hudson Players, Karen in Obnoxiously Unconstitutional with Twin Masks Theater, Deloris Dante in Working: A Musical with Geauga Center for the Arts, and Miss Marietta Shingle in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at Chagrin Valley Little Theater. Ms. Shaffer is the choral director of The Park Synagogue Choir in Pepper Pike and maintains a busy private teaching studio in Shaker Heights Ohio. Sharon would like to dedicate her performance in The Sparks Fly Upward to her mother (of blessed memory) who was a hidden child and survivor of the Holocaust, and who taught her daughter to never forget.
