Laura Schapiro is delighted to be performing in her first theater production since college. She was previously in The Magic Flute, Into the Woods, and The Music Man. She loves choral singing and most recently sang alto with the May Festival Chorus in Cincinnati. She is currently a physician in Cleveland.
Performances of The Sparks Fly Upward are supported by The Sparks Fly Upward Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about the Holocaust, genocide, and tolerance through presentations of Sparks and ancillary activities. Past ancillary activities have included free tickets for Holocaust survivors, discounted tickets for students, lectures, photo displays, and web resources.
