About the Cleveland Premiere
The Sparks Fly Upward was staged before an audience at the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center, from June 9 through 12, 2022. This was its first performance since its world premiere in 2008, which took place in Des Moines, Iowa.
Composed and produced by Cathy Lesser Mansfield, directed by Jeffrey Lesser, and conducted by Daniel Singer, the cast, crew, and orchestra comprised local and national professionals and was enjoyed by audiences around the world.
